Yup, just uploaded all my photos from my camera onto the computer.. So I'm gonna post some of them here.
Chinese New Year
Spent the first day of Chinese New Year in Church.. And then went to ba nian. And got bombarded by everybody about questions like: "How's your A level?" or "Which course do you plan to take in University?" At least my sister was suffering with me too.
Seems to me that sometimes ba nian is about answering questions. When we're kids, they'll ask us "How's school?" or "How's your grade?". And then when you take a major exam they'll ask, " How's your A/O levels?", " Which course/ Uni you plan to go?".
And then when you do graduate from University, they'll ask, " Where do you plan to work? Which career path would you choose?"
And when you do carve out your career path, they'll ask: " So when would you get a girlfriend/ boyfriend?"
And when you do get a girlfriend/ boyfriend, they'll ask again: " So when are you planning to get married?"
And when you do get married, they'll ask: " So when are you planning to settle down and start a family?"
And when you do have a child, they'll ask, "So how do you plan to nurture your child? Piano? Violin? Ballet? Or some advance mental math class for genius babies?"
Of course, I'm just being very realistic here. But if you anticipate these questions beforehand, then you wouldn't feel awkward answering them.
I think these questions moves through stages. Something like chord progressions in piano or guitar. Namely:
Education--> Career --> Courtship --> Marriage --> Child

We went into Malaysia on the second day of CNY to visit relatives there. And Sabrina's god-parents there love cats so much, they specially set aside a room in their house for their pet cats. And the room have

Then on wednesday, had a CNY gathering with JC ppl... Had dinner at Sze Min's house.. Haha.. They were great hosts. Plenty of food abound, plus got vcds somemore. But its scary movie, so didn't really watch. And I saw Sze Min's nephew... So cute!! Haha.. But didn't take a photo of him. Sze Min said he would cry if I try to carry him.
Anyway, its pretty shocking to see the class guys with their hair all gone. Remembered how David used to be so particular about his 'esplanade' style hair. When I sat behind him for lectures, I can't see the bottom of the screen cos his hair was blocking, and I'll have to dart around his head. Something like the bhangra dance around the coconut tree?
But not everybody turned up. I would wish for a more complete class reunion where everyone is present.Hmmm... The next time would probably be our results collection day.
